We are Looking for a SINGER!
We are an established pub covers band in the Plymouth area and we are looking for a new singer.
Our old singer has family and business commitments and unfortunately can’t continue. So we’re looking for a new singer (experience is preferable) who is committed and free to gig on Fridays, weekends and possibly other nights of the week too.
We already have gigs booked throughout 2009 so are looking for someone who is willing to jump in and work hard to get us back playing in pubs again ASAP.
We play Rock/Indie covers including tracks from the Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Weezer, Stereophonics, Feeder and Fall Out Boy (among others).
Some video examples of us playing:
All The Small Things - The Junction - 8th Feb 2008
All That I Have - The Junction - 8th Feb 2008

No commentsWe’re Back!
The Craving are back with a new lineup! Stan has left… and come back again… and Rich C has left and… um… not come back again. We wish him luck with his new project and look forward to seeing him play again soon!
We’d like to welcome Gary as our new drummer and for all who want to check him out we’ll be playing at the Queen’s Arms Charity night in Torpoint on Saturday 2nd February. We’ll be going on around 9.
For those who can’t make it to Torpoint we’ll be playing the following Friday (8th Feb) in the Junction on Mutley. Again going on around 9.
Hope to see you all soon!
No commentsShort Break
After our gig at the Queen’s we will be taking a short break until after Christmas, so if you want a last chance to throw things at us for a while, get on down to the Queen’s on the 20th October.
Stan is leaving us for pastures new, so we’re giving our new guitarist Brad a little time to get up to speed.
We’ll try to squeeze another gig in before Xmas if we can, so you may get one more chance to see the youngster of the band before he departs. Come next year, we’ll all be old bastards!
No commentsPhoenix Canceled
Big apologies to all who were coming to see us at the Phoenix tonight but we’ve had to cancel. Sorry Cuz, you’ll just have to go on the 12 hour bender for your birthday instead!
Mark is ill and although we diagnose man flu and think he’s being a bit of a baby, it appears his doctor disagrees and calls it a serious lung and chest infection!
The Phoenix gig has been rescheduled to the 14th July, so we hope to see everyone then instead.
No commentsWebsite Updates, Demo Audio and Gig Calendar Section
We’ve uploaded a few demo tracks for you all to listen to. They’re recorded ‘as live’ so there’s no fancy overdubs or anything like that. What you hear is us banging through the tracks, mistakes and all! Check them out in the audio section.
We’ve got a few more gigs booked up over the next few months so we’ve also added a gig calendar to the site. Keep checking back for more dates and venues as they’re confirmed.
Our next live performances are:
Saturday 31st March, Breton Arms, Plymouth (8:30pm)
Saturday 7th April, The Junction, Plymouth (4:00pm)
Our set at The Junction is as part of their all day charity rock gig. All of the best bands in Plymouth will be there, so it’s a day not to be missed and all for a good cause!
New Guestbook Section
Finally we’ve also added a guestbook section to the site. We’re not sure it’s a good idea, but we invite you all to let us know what’s on your mind!
No commentsAll for Charity Mate…
Well it looks like the 3rd of February will be a busy day for The Craving as we have two charity gigs on the same day.
We’ll be playing in the Queen’s Arms, Torpoint at around 4:30pm and then on to Tencreek to kick off again at 9.
Hope you can make it to one of them!
No commentsThank You
A big thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Queen’s Arms on the 30th, we had a great time.
